MFAM
Mutualité française Anjou-Mayenne (MFAM) has a large Disability Unit comprising services and organizations in the field of visual impairment, hearing impairment and acquired brain injuries. These services enable intervention and support for children, adults and the elderly throughout the Loire region. In the field of neurological disability in children and adults with both cognitive and sensory impairments, our services support children in their daily activities (school, social activities, rehabilitation activities). Our specialized brain injury services support children and adults with brain injuries acquired in their daily lives (rehabilitation activities, residences, support for social activities, etc.).
As experts in sensory impairment, but also in acquired brain damage, we try to develop new methodologies and tools for children with neuro-linguistic disorders, based on our experience in this field, but also on the experience of EU organisations.
For many years, MFAM, together with its organisation Charlotte Blouin Centre, has been recognised as an expert in the field of disability and aims to develop new protocole and methodologies to improve the support of some of its end users, especially children with sensory impairment, brain
damage and with additional disabilities and neuro-linguistic disorders. MFAM is also recognised as an expert centre for children with visual impairment, and has developed in liaison with other EU countries, materials and tools for professionals to support visually impaired children with neuro-visual disorders.
